Melbourne International Comedy Festival

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is one of the three largest comedy festivals in the world, alongside Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival. An annual event, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival literally takes over Australia’s comedy capital, Melbourne, each autumn with an enormous program of stand-up comedy, cabaret, theatre, street performance, film, television, radio and visual arts.
The city will light up with laughs when the Melbourne International Comedy Festival takes over town! For three and a half weeks from 27 March to 21 April Melbourne will be the nation’s hive of happiness, injecting all-day, all-night infectious fun to the city. Be it family fun at Fed Square, glittering gala events or late-night laughs at Festival Club, there is a comedy thrill to fit everyone’s bill.

Escher X nendo | Between Two Worlds

Escher X nendo – Between Two Worlds is a groundbreaking exhibition that features the work of Dutch artist M. C. Escher in dialogue with the work of acclaimed Japanese design studio nendo.
Celebrated as a master of optical illusion, Escher created some of the most iconic images of the twentieth century. The exhibition features 158 prints and drawings drawn from the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague, which houses the world’s largest collection of Escher’s work, and covers the full span of his career, from 1916 through to his final work produced in 1969.
As one of the leading design studios in the world, nendo draw upon their unique design approach to manipulating geometry, space and perception to create an immersive exhibition experience inspired by M. C. Escher.
